Yes. BigFix is constantly scanning your computer for security holes. When a hole has been found, BigFix looks for a patch to fix the hole. As soon as a patch is available, BigFix will alert you and you should install it. Failing to do so may leave your computer vulnerable to attacks by hacker, viruses and other malicious programs.
