Do I pay PST on liquor I bring into British Columbia from the United States that is more than the federal personal exemption?
Yes. You pay 10% PST on any liquor you bring into British Columbia from the United States, or from elsewhere outside Canada, that is more than the federal personal exemption. The Canada Border Services Agency will collect the 10% PST due if you bring in more than the federal personal exemption. For more information, please see Bulletin SST 013, Goods for Personal Use, or visit the Canada Border Service Agency’s website.
