Yes, you must uninstall PhatNotes from the desktop PC and your mobile device before installing this version. It is recommended, however, that you do not delete your PhatNotes databases on the device when prompted, because the PhatNotes 5 is compatible with databases from previous versions when used on Pocket PC or Smartphone only.
