Do I need to throw out my daughters Barbies & Polly Pocket toys because of lead now?
You’re confusing the reasons for the recent recalls of Mattel toys. The Polly Pocket toys have been recalled because of the risks of the magnets used in them. The earlier recall was for painted toys contaminated with lead. I would not discard your daughter’s toys but remove them from her. You can return them to Mattel for a voucher good at most retailers.
