Do I need to seek accreditation for my new Masters programme?
By submitting your new Masters programme for accreditation, it will be evaluated against the underpinning knowledge requirements for training in the relevant applied area. Masters programmes of this kind remain a core component of training towards registration in a number of the seven applied areas that are regulated by the Health Professions Council. The HPC’s course approvals process relates only to qualifications that, in themselves, lead directly to eligibility to register, and they will not therefore be involved in the approval of programmes of this kind. They will also not specify any entry requirements for the programmes they approve.
