Do I need to pay the DT fine if I no longer wish to be a TLC For Hire Vehicle or Yellow Taxicab driver?
If you will not be taking your anniversary DT and you no longer want to drive a FHV or Yellow taxi you must surrender your license before your annual drug test date. If you do not surrender your license before your anniversary date, you will be responsible for clearing the suspension and the fine. Note: If you apply for a new TLC driver’s license at a later date, you will need to pay the DT fine before submitting a new application to the TLC.
