Do I need to obtain the explicit consent of all of my clients in order to use tuOtempO?
tuOtempO does not use any data in its communications that could disclose confidential medical information about your clients. Nevertheless, It is advisable to ask your clients for their authorisation to use their basic contact information (name, phone and email) so that you can send them reminders etc. It is usually sufficient, according to local laws, for you to tell your clients (when they phone for an appointment) that unless they have any objections, their contact details will be used to send them SMS. If they agree, you then record their consent into the system, from which point onwards the system will allow messages to be sent to them. If you prefer written authorisation from your clients, you can request that they sign a consent form when they come in for an appointment. Further information about the Operational Procedure is contained in tuOtempO’s Data Protection And Privacy Policy document.
