The WST is available onboard the JOIDES Resolution for use by any cruise at no additional expense. Planning for deployment of this tool should take place at the pre-cruise meeting to insure adequate time is available. However, it is possible to make the decision to deploy the tool once the cruise is underway, if necessary. In order to provide sufficient time for pre-deployment preparations (e.g., readying the guns), please give as much notice as possible during the cruise to the Lamont Logging Scientist and the TAMU Lab Officer.
