Do I need to install anything on my home computer to use WebCT?
You should have everything you need already installed. The main component of WebCT is the Java Runtime Environment. When you first access WebCT it will run a quick browser check to ensure you have the required features enabled. If you need to install Java click here and follow the link for the software download on the main page. When you first access WebCT you should receive a notification to accept the license from WebCT. Please click yes, this will allow you to continue to connect to WebCT using the ideal settings for your machine. WebCT also uses pop up windows to deliver some content. We recommend turning off any pop up blockers you might have installed (Google or Yahoo Toolbars, or Internet Explorer’s built in blocker.) You do not need to uninstall them, just disable it as you are working inside WebCT. This is not a required step but you could miss important information if pop up windows are blocked.
