No separate installation of JavaFX runtime or plugin is required to run JavaFX applications on desktops and browsers. JavaFX 1.0 Desktop Runtime will be automatically downloaded on Windows and Mac OS desktops and browsers that support Java 1.5 or higher, when users access a JavaFX application for the first time. The JavaFX runtime will be automatically updated on the user’s desktop for subsequent releases.
