Nope. All you need is Sims 1. Another game like Vacation is The Sims 2 Bon Voyage. For that you will need Sims 2. Also you could try The Sims Castaway Stories. In that your Sims are stuck on a deserted island. For that you don’t need Sims 1, Sims 2, or Sims 3. Hope I helped!
