No. Though RockWorks now stores borehole data in an Access-compatible .MDB file, you don’t need to have Access installed to run RockWorks. The behind-the-scenes database components, called the Microsoft Jet Database Engine, are installed with the Windows Vista, XP, and 2000 (latest service pack) operating systems.
