Do I need to grant Griffith Research Online the right to preserve and distribute the content?
Yes. Griffith University supports the long-term preservation of scholarly and research material, and free access to them. To undertake this role, the administrators of Griffith Research Online need permission to store, copy and manipulate the content in order to ensure that it can be preserved and made available in the future. The Non-Exclusive Distribution Licence– which you agree to in the ‘My Research Publications’ area of the Griffith Portal–is designed to give the administrative staff the right to do this, and to confirm that the depositor (you or a designated person) has the right to submit the material to the repository. The licence is non-exclusive; the depositor does not give any of their rights to Griffith Research Online.
