No, but you have to make sure you are using the right chemicals. There are two types of cartridge chemicals for different Fuji Frontier Digital Minilab. You can check the correct chemical on the table in the product catalog. HCL PP-48 and PP-49 are fully compatible with Fuji CP-48S and Fuji CP-49E cartridge respectively.
