It is not necessary to change money before leaving the United States. We will change some money at the airport in Tegucigalpa before heading to the Project. Most merchants accept both lempira and US dollars, but many are not equipped to handle travelers’ checks. There is an easily accessible ATM machine close to the Project should a traveler need more cash on the trip.
