Do I need to buy a docking station just for a Hp Omnibook 500 Ultra Portable?
A docking station would not change anything in this case ! Here is an interesting book (in PDF format) for your computer: http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs… It does not come with a pad as in newer laptops, it comes with a pointing device in between keys on the keyboard Have a look at page 14 and pages 32 & 33 of the PDF, it shows you what I am talking about (and how to work with it). If you want it easier, you can use a USB (or older PS2) mouse connected to the back of your computer. Look at pages 93 & 94 for an illustration of the connectors and a guide that explains how to add such a device. NOTE: If you decide on a USB mouse, bring your Omnibook 500 at the store with you to test the mouse before buying (I am not sure if your computer has the 1.2 or the 2.0 USB specification so it is important to check).
