Do I need to be registered to practise occupational therapy in all areas of Australia?

0

At present, occupational therapists must be registered to practise in Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Registration is through the local registration board. Registration is not required in Tasmania, New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria or the Australian Capital Territory. However, some employers will require membership of OT Australia (the professional association for occupational therapists in Australia). In order to apply for registration with a local registration board, or for membership with OT Australia, it will be necessary for COTRB to assess your overseas OT qualifications.
