If you follow our suggested Installation procedure, you may need to be root to install in “/usr/local”. However, any user can install Gridgen and the FLEXlm License Manager. Once a license file has been requested from licenses@pointwise.com, any user can also install the license file and start the FLEXlm license manager daemon.
