Do I need to be in Turkey/Kalkan/Kas to buy a property there?
It would be preferable, but not essential. We can buy on your behalf with a Power of Attorney authorized by the local Notary. You can view properties at leisure during your visit without feeling under pressure to conclude any negotiations before you return to the UK. It also allows you a cooling off period to make absolutely sure you are making the right decision. Where clients have bought in joint names, sometimes the one party gives us Power of Attorney, and the other doesnt, so that only one of the joint owners needs to travel to Turkey to finalise the transaction. We are happy to provide contact details of clients who have given us Power of Attorney to conclude their purchase and who will be happy to vouch for our reliability.
