Yes, the M.A.T.L. program is designed for licensed, practicing teachers, with hands-on assignments focused on your classroom. You need to be actively teaching in a classroom in order to apply the teaching strategies you learn in the M.A.T.L. program and complete the assignments. If you stop teaching while enrolled in the M.A.T.L. program, you might need to “stop-out” of the program until you are teaching again. However, with new blocks starting five times a year, you will be able to return to the program quickly. During the summer term, alternative assignments are designed to be implemented when students are not in the classroom.
