Do I need to add CamGuard at every oil change?

Yes. We do not make claims of “one-time engine treatments” which in our opinion have no basis in fact as working from a lab test viewpoint. CamGuard 11 additives bond to the surface of the various metal surfaces in the engine protecting them from rust and corrosion caused by water and acids in the oil. CamGuard additives form antiwear films, over a wide temperature range, on rubbing surfaces reducing wear. CamGuard provides a synergistic blend of antioxidants to prevent deposits in critical areas such as the piston ring zone, on valve stems or in guides. CamGuard counters the effects of time and aggressive conditions to protect critical seals. However, while some residual benefits may remain once the CamGuard laden oil is drained, we make no claims and state that the fresh oil must also contain CamGuard to continue protecting.
