No. At the moment this remains the rule at SHSU but we expect action in January to accept our Music Theory entrance exam in place of the GRE and the elimination of letters of recommendation based on the depth of our contact with candidates. Start application to the Graduate School at Sam Houston State University and leave these items off your checklist for now.
