Do I need special pipettes to work with the Optimiser™?

• No, you can use commonly available pipettes. We recommend pipette: 0.1 – 10 µl for loading 10 µl volume of reagents, samples or buffers, 1-100 µl for Loading more than 10 µl reagents, samples or buffers. • I can’t get the liquids to flow properly • Most importantly – please check if your solutions are clear of particulates (e.g. supernatants from cell lysate). • Use filtered blocking buffer for assay. The blocking buffer should be pre-filtered with 0.45 µm vacuum filtration system and stored at 2~8oC. Five-hundred milliliters of filtered buffer is sufficient to perform assays on up to 100 Optimiser plates. • Very rarely, you will see that liquid has not drained out even after ~ 10 minutes. This indicates a flow failure and that well should not be used for analysis. • We have validated the Optimiser with aqueous solutions. We are currently testing other commonly used solvents and will keep updating the results in the Application Notes section.
