Do I need prior knowledge of marine biology to participate in a Reef Check Australia training course?
No. The Reef Check Australia training courses have been designed to allow anyone with the required qualifications (see Question 5) to participate. In the Course Introduction you will become familiar with coral reef ecology and, through a series of classroom sessions and training dives, you will learn everything you need to know to be able to accurately identify Reef Check Australia target organisms.
