Do I need physical therapy after a car accident?

Can be yes or no. After a MVA or motor vehicular accident, based on your physician’s findings and tests results, such as X-ray, CT scan, or MRI, depending on the extent of injury is being referred to physical therapy. Post-MVA patients may have whiplash injuries, fractures, muscle and joint pain, loss of conciousness, contusion and to higher extent spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. These conditions will benefit from rehabilitation interventation for muscle strengthening, pain relief, and ambulation (walking) re-training or whatever aspect has been affected by the accident. But there are cases after a car accident that all your test results are negative, and your physician deemed it is not necessary for you to go on physical therapy, and you’re not in any pain or whatsoever musculoskeletal complaint, then lucky you, there is no need for therapy then.

You are young and still growing. See the therapist. Also your backpack should only be 10 percent of your body weight. So unless you weigh 300 hundred pounds, your backback weighs to much. Your backpack should weigh no more than 15 pounds. I weigh backpacks at the school I work for kids. You do not need everything in that back back.
