Do I need ministry experience in the U.S. before going overseas?
Yes. It is best to learn the basics of ministry in one’s own culture before going into another culture. Church development missionaries sharpen ministry skills and develop as leaders while serving at an intentional ministry position in the U.S., usually in an Alliance church. Support personnel and CAMA Services workers should have work experience in the areas for which they are applying.
