Do i need ict gcse to do engineering or medicine?
It’s good that your doing ICT for GCSE’s but in my opinion you don’t really need to take it any further than that. ICT is one of those subjects that everybody uses (and will probably be made compulsory sometime) but once you’ve learnt everything you need to know it’s done. However do keep going for GCSEs because theres probably quite a bit still to learn, and if you feel that you don’t know enough to use it in a job, then you could always do a mini IT course in college. So keep it! On the other hand engineering and medicine are both very science and mathmatic jobs. My dad was an engineer for a large motor company, and to be honest although he used his laptop day in, day out, on email, spread sheets etc it was all things that you learn to do in school (probably GCSEs) for example, equations for working out large sums in excel etc. For engineering you looking at having to be very science and maths bases, preferably a triple scientist, and aiming for A-A* in both maths, chemistry and phys
