Do I need engineering to use Mikey Block?
The IRC specification for screen grid ICFs is valid for one or two-story homes, with or without basements, having no more than 10 feet between floors and total outside dimensions of no more than 40′ x 60′. If your plans fall within these limits and your building authority has adopted the IRC (2003 or 2006), then you should not be required to have engineering. If your plans exceed these limits, then most likely you will.
