The truth is that in most cases there is no way to perform the above-mentioned tasks without an Agent. Behind the scenes you are often using another party’s Agent, like Windows SNMP or WMI service Agents. While these Agents usually come out of the box with Windows or any other OS, they are not always set up to run or configured for the specific application that you are using. So claims about Agentless software being ‘easy to deploy, easy to manage and maintain’ aren’t strictly always true.
