No. With DSL, your existing phone line is “split” to allow voice and data transmission at the same time. No additional line is required. How does the AT&T Online Protection software suite make it easier to manage online security issues? AT&T Online Protection brings all of our security tools together in one easy-to-use Dashboard. Simple icons, buttons, and options take the hassle out of staying safe online. By accessing the Dashboard, you can quickly see the status of all your security tools: Anti-Spy, Anti-Virus, Pop-Up Blocker, Parental Controls, and AT&T Mail Protection. If everything is turned on and running smoothly, you’ll see a green checkmark. If specific action is required, you’ll see a yellow alert icon and instructions on what action you need to take. If you see an alert — or if you want to take a closer look or adjust a particular security feature — simply click on the small arrow beside the tool. From there, more options will drop down for further review and action.
