As a U.K. citizen, you don’t need a visa to enter Thailand for up to 30 days. No hidden fees. There is an overstay fee if you remain in the country longer — it was recently increased, and I wouldn’t recommend that. If you want to stay for a long time, you can always exit and re-enter, no restrictions on that.
