Do I need a visa or any shots to take a Mediterranean cruise?
This depends on what type of passport you hold re the visa question.. and honestly the shots questions as well. These days you can get most of this information from the internet, but always ask the questions long before you travel. Visa’s can take a long time to get, depending on where you live. Also, US Citizens should never assume that they don’t need a visa to visit many countries. Most people don’t know that US Citizens are required to have a VISA for Brazil (us I know it’s South America and Not Mediterranean, but it’s an examble) and you will also need one for St. Petersburg if you are not taking an excursion with the cruise line, and also don’t always assume that just because your on a cruise and you “aren’t going to get off the ship” that you don’t need a visa.. you still need proper documentation. You may want to check with the CDC website (or your countries health organization) to see if you need to have shots for a particular country.
