Yes you will need a VISA to enter India.. You should be able to get that at the Indian Embassy in US (at Washington DC)… I would like to give you a few info about India : 1) Indian climate is like that in FL of US.. So go prepared… 2) chances of you getting dehydrated is more… Keep drinking water. Food in India will be pretty Spicy for you if you are not used to it… Make sure you are familiar with the Indian cuisine… 3) Plan your tour well and leave your itenary with someone here. In case of any change let them know immediately… 4) Keep the American Embassy number of the State you are going to visit… Call them immediately in case of any problem. 5) Dont venture out alone as a single woman outside at night… Be cautious about where ever you are going if you are not going with any male… This is not to threaten you…just a note of caution… India is a culturally rich country… If you plan your trip well it should be a great time for you… Dont forget to include Kerala
