Do I need a separate phone line for each PowerKey Pro?

Not necessarily. You can individually program each PowerKey Pro unit to only respond to a specific number of rings. For example, you can program one unit to startup the computer when the phone rings 5 times on weekdays and you could program a second unit to startup its computer when the phone rings 5 times on weekends. The Model 600 and 650’s phone codes events allow you to program unique codes (up to 8 characters, including the # and *) for triggering specific events in each individual unit connected to that single phone line. For example, you can program one unit to switch its outlets 1, 2 and 3 off and then back on when you press 112233# and you could program another unit to switch off its outlets 4, 5 and 6 when you press 456#. And you only need to program one PowerKey Pro 600/650 to “Answer” the phone when it rings; whenever any device on the line takes the phone off-hook, each PowerKey Pro connected to that line will be ‘listening’ for codes which may match its programming.
