Do I need a repair order open in BodyShop Office to use the Materials Calculator?
No. I set the Materials Calculator up so that a person could use that part of the software and nothing else. You do, however, need to enter something in the Repair Order number box. It should be a unique number. This will allow you to recall the materials invoice without having to recreate it. You can even create a materials invoice by importing an estimate without using any other part of the software.
