In most cases you will not need an extra Relay Part #775 for the Trunk Release function, double check the Wire Color Code Chart from our Website to make sure you know the Trunk Release wire Color and Polarity type for the Vehicle you have. If the Vehicle has a (+) Positive Trunk Release wire and your RS-1100/RS- 1200E DOES NOT have a Dipswitch (the Dipswitch is located between the 16-Pin Harness and the Ignition 1 wire Spade Terminal on the PC Board of the RS-1100/RS-1200E) the Dipswitch is used to select between a (+) Positive and (-) Negative Trunk Release Output. If the unit does have a dipswitch, set this Dipswitch to the “IN” Position for a (+) Positive Trunk Release Output and connect the WHITE/RED Trunk Release Output wire to the (+) Positive Trunk Release wire in the Vehicle. If the Unit DOES NOT have a Dipswitch, then the WHITE/RED Trunk Release Output wire on this unit is also a (+) Positive, connect the WHITE/RED Trunk Release Output wire to the (+) Positive Trunk Release wi
