Do I need a Music Licence if I already have a PPL Licence?

0

PPL is the representative body for record companies and performers. PRS for Music represents composers and music publishers. Although you may have other licences, a Music Licence is an entirely separate legal requirement to your PPL Licence. A Music Licence is required regardless of any other type of licence you may own. PRS for Music licenses the public performance of original musical works however performed (live or otherwise) on behalf of the composers, writers and publishers of music. Entirely separate to this, PPL licenses the public performance of sound recordings on behalf of record companies and the musicians on the recording.
