Do I need a licence to trade from lay-bys in Mendip?
Generally speaking within the district of Mendip if you have a mobile food vehicle you will only need to gain permission of the land owner before you trade. The police, however, may have issues with your location if your vehicle is causing a road safety hazard. There are areas within the district where you can not trade. You are not allowed to trade on any land owned by Mendip District Council. If you wish to trade at the local markets you will need to contact the market organiser.
