Yes. You do need a Pilot Certificate – a sport aircraft type licence. The RA-Aus will issue your Pilot Certificate once your Chief Flying Instructor has confirmed you are able to fly safely, correctly and responsibly. Usually 20 hours of flight time instruction with similar briefing hours, and you will need to pass – Rules of the Air and Basic Aeronautical Knowledge examinations.
