Do I need A-level Maths to study Economics?

No, you need at least a grade B at GCSE level in Maths. You should be comfortable working with numbers and be willing to develop reasonable competency in quantitative subjects. Obviously an A-level in Maths would give you an advantage especially if you plan to specialize in econometrics and mathematical economics. However, the majority of our students do not have A-level Maths. Students studying Business Economics have greater flexibility in the amount of quantitative material that they study in years 2 and 3.
