As a former resident of Va who now lives in NC I can tell you with 100% certainty that YES you do need a license to hunt boar here, regardless of whose property it is! Answers like the one above by canadians who guess about our laws will get you into deep trouble. When I lived in Va. and hunted here in NC I had to get an out of state hunting license every time I came down to hunt. You will have to do the same thing, or risk heavy fines, possible jail time, they will confiscate your firearms and the vehicle you drove to the hunt in.
