No, you do not need a static IP address to enjoy the advantages of Norfa. Norfa is designed to work in a dynamic address (DHCP) environment, such as that available with most home gateway routers. Does the person I call have to use Norfa? No, with Norfa you can call any phone number that you can call with a traditional phone. Calls to regular phones are charged on a per minute basis while those to other Norfa users are free. Can I assign a static IP address to the telephone adapter?
