No. A woman does not need a doctor’s referral or Medicare card to have a screening mammogram at BreastScreen. The breast screening service is provided free of charge to women aged 50-69 and, where available, to women aged 40-49 and over 70 years. Simply phone 13 20 50 for an appointment at the nearest site.
