Although not required, having a separate account may be useful as it will help you keep personal and business transactions separate. With Google Checkout you cannot send money to friends/family so would only ever require one account. If you plan to use your PayPal account with another service that requires an IPN listener then please contact support who can configure your account to work with multiple services.
