Do i need a cast for a suspected scaphoid fracture?
Nope you can opt for surgery. My daughter broke her scaphoid from a horse riding incident. She broke other bones as well, the scaphoid wasn’t discovered until after she had her initial cast taken off after 6 weeks. She was told another 6 weeks (for a total of 12 weeks of healing). 12 weeks due to the limited amount of blood flow to that particular area.
