A car is not essential but La Manga Club is a large resort – about the size of Monaco – and so car hire is recommended. A car will enable you to enjoy the club to the full, and ensure you can conveniently access all the restaurants and facilities on offer at the club and enable you to visit some of the surrounding country side and wonderful beaches. If car hire is booked in good time it will cost little more than a return taxi to Murcia airport and will be considerably cheaper than a return taxi to Alicante.
