Do I need a building permit?
Every city, town, region and county has its own laws regarding building and the kinds of permits and documentation required. Ask your local building department about any requirements in your area. Should you need a permit, we can supply engineer’s blueprints or anything else you may need to secure one.
We always recommend obtaining a building permit, this protects you known the construction of the sunroom will be passed by a Building Inspector and approved for its location on your property. For your peace of mind, do not accept anyone who says you do not require one. If you were to try to sell your home with a sunroom attached for which a permit was not obtained, there is a good chance that it would have to be removed in order for the title to be transferred due to it not complying with the Building Codes at the time of new application.
