The answer to your question is No. You are legally entitled to revert back to your maiden name after a divorce. You can actually call yourself anything you wish without having to legally change your existing name, provided you do not use that name for illegal or fraudulent purposes. If you do decide to revert back to your maiden name, please don’t forget to let everyone know that you have done this, bank, credit accounts, mail order clubs, etc. I’m sure you will remember of course.
