Do I have to write a goal for every need identified in the Present Level of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance?
Needs of the student should be prioritized and the most important needs should be addressed through goals, but not all needs identified in the Present Level of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance require a goal. However, every need identified must be addressed in the IEP. In the IEP you have many options for meeting a student’s needs including special education, related services, supplementary aids and services, program modifications and supports for school personnel.
