You need NiMH (rechargeable) batteries or Lithium ion (non-rechargeable) batteries. Don’t mix the types together. They don’t need to be made by Kodak. You cannot use alkaline batteries, which are one of the more common types. If your first set of batteries didn’t work, maybe they were alkaline, or maybe they were dead to begin with, or maybe you inadvertently reversed the polarity?
